When was the last time the hard copy of the NCJRS Thesaurus was updated?
The last hardcopy edition of the NCJRS Thesaurus was published in 1998. NCJRS launched an online version of the Thesaurus in 2002. With this resource, you can either conduct a search of the Thesaurus or you can browse an alphabetical listing of the terms included in the Thesaurus online. Additionally, you can conduct searches of the Abstracts Database directly from the online Thesaurus using terms you select. All of the terms in the hardcopy Thesaurus are still utilized in the online Thesaurus. However, new terms have been added and cross-referenced. The online Thesaurus is updated annually and is also produced on CD-ROM. You may place an order for the National Criminal Justice 2006 Thesaurus, CD-ROM online, should you wish to obtain this resource.
