The Office for Victims of Crime has implemented the International Terrorism Victim Expense Reimbursement Program (ITVERP). ITVERP was authorized by Congress to reimburse eligible direct victims of acts of international terrorism that occur outside the United States for expenses associated with that victimization. (OVC)

NIC has released a solicitation for Direct Supervision Curriculum Development. This is a cooperative agreement to develop curricula for two training programs. The first curriculum focuses on the roles of the housing-unit officer and shift supervisor in a direct supervision jail. The second curriculum deals with the administration of a direct supervision facility. (NIC)

"Community Policing: Looking to Tomorrow" (NCJ 227424, 56 pp.) summarizes the results of community policing roundtable meetings held in 2007. This publication reflects the participants’ comments, observations, and opinions along with their discussions. "Victim Impact: Listen and Learn" is an online curriculum funded by OVC. This resource uses a victim-centered approach to help offenders understand the impact of crime on victims. It contains 13 training units that address crimes such as robbery, assault, homicide, and drunk driving. Downloadable content includes training units, curriculum DVD clips, and a customizable agenda.
