| Drug Use Screening Tools for Physicians Available |
The National Institute on Drug Abuse has announced its first comprehensive Physicians' Outreach Initiative, NIDAMED, which gives medical professionals tools and resources to screen their patients for tobacco, alcohol, illicit drug, and nonmedical prescription drug use. Resources include an online screening tool and a companion quick-reference guide. (ONDCP)

| 2011 SART Conference Solicitation Announced |

OVC will award $500,000 to a private, nonprofit organization or public agency to plan and implement the 2011 National Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) Training Conference. The 2011 conference will provide state-of-the-art training for 1,000 SART professionals, including victim advocates, sexual assault nurse examiners and other medical personnel, law enforcement, prosecutors, and crime lab specialists.
