The awards recognize individuals and organizations that demonstrate outstanding service in supporting victims and victim services. This funding opportunity will offer $80,000 to $125,000 for each of the four fellowships. Grant recipients will work onsite at OVC in Washington, DC. This cooperative agreement is for 18 months; the provider will work closely with the NIC Jails Division to develop and pilot the training program. NBPI provides funds to eligible jurisdictions in the 14 northern border states using a uniform payment-per-case basis for qualifying federally initiated and declined-referred criminal cases that were disposed of after October 1, 2005. Grantees must work in coordination with an existing anti-human trafficking law enforcement task force. For every 1,000 petitioned juvenile cases in 2005, 8 were waived to criminal court.
