Abstract
In this 2010 National Crime Victims' Rights Week (NCVRW) Resource Guide, community leaders and organizations will find a wide range of instructional materials, updated statistics, and promotional items in CD-ROM format. The CD-ROM contains all Resource Guide content, as well as artwork in both black and white and color in three electronic formats, including: 1) Resource Guide Overview; 2) Maximizing Communication and Awareness; 3) Resource Guide Artwork; 4) Working with the Media; 5) Landmarks in Victims' Rights and Services; 6) Statistical Overviews; and 7) Additional Resources. The complete 2010 NCVRW Resource Guide is accessible in electronic format at www.ovc.gov/ncvrw2010. The theme for 2010 is Crime Victims' Rights: Fairness, Dignity, and Respect which evokes memories of a time when victim compensation and support services were not available to those harmed by crime. The NCVRW Resource Guide includes user-friendly outreach tools, current statistics on victimization, information on the history of victims' rights in the United States, and tips on how to involve the community in promoting the fairness, dignity, and respect crime victims deserve.
