Abstract

This document, the Criminal Intelligence Resources Guide, was developed through the collaboration of the U.S. Department of Justice's Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative, its working groups, and partner law enforcement agencies and organizations. The goal of the document is to bring together a listing of intelligence-related information resources available to the intelligence community that will be updated on a regular basis. The guide is intended to provide law enforcement with the ability to strategize and take a targeted approach to crime control while focusing on the identification, analysis, and management of persisting and developing problems. The guide provides a listing and brief summary of available products in each of the following categories: Analysts; Fusion Centers - Policy, Training and Technical Assistance, and Technology; Gangs; General Intelligence; Nationwide SAR (Suspicious Activity Report) Initiative (NSI); Privacy; Security; and Training (other than fusion center training). Documents are sorted alphabetically within each category and can be accessed electronically by clicking on the hyperlinked title. Hard copies of the documents are also available by submitting the order form online, by e-mail, or by fax.
