This issue features news on the activities and issues related to the work of the U.S. Justice Department's Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), with special features on reentry policies for juveniles, opportunities for youth in AmeriCorps, guidance for providers of support services for juvenile victims of commercial sexual exploitation, and the "Today's Native Leaders" initiative.

Abstract

"Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council Addresses Reentry" outlines OJJDP's juvenile reentry strategic plan. "President Announces New AmeriCorps Partnerships To Expand Opportunities for Youth" concerns new partnerships with Federal agencies and the private sector that facilitate connecting youth to mentoring, support networks, and job skills. "National Academies Release Guide for Providers of Support Services to Young Victims of Commercial Sexual Exploitation" profiles a guide that highlights key terms, risk factors and consequences, emerging service strategies, and recommendations for improving services to these young victims. "OJJDP and UNITY Promote 'Today's Native Leaders' Initiative at National Conference" pertains to a new initiative that will offer Tribal youth leadership training in seven regions over the next 3 years.
