Children's Justice Act Partnerships for Indian Communities

The CJA program focuses on developing strategies to better handle cases of child sexual abuse from intake through resolution. Full Fact Sheet

Funding
Grants are made annually, and each requires an in-kind match to promote tribal investment.

Eligibility
Federally recognized Indian tribes and tribal organizations may apply for CJA funds.

Training and Technical Assistance
CJA grantees are eligible for specialized training and technical assistance to help them develop, establish, and operate projects designed to improve the handling of child abuse cases.

Activities Funded Through CJA
Funded projects range from multidisciplinary team training to development of child-centered interview rooms.
