Update Alert(s):
GovBot Database of Government Web sites ceased operation on May 1, 2001. The Center for Intelligent Information Retrieval (CIIR) discontinued this government search service to focus on other information retrieval research areas. For an alternative site for reliable government information, CIIR recommends starting out with USA.gov (formerly FirstGov).
National Network of Violence Prevention Practitioners (NVVPP) ceased operation on May 10, 2002. Although insufficient philanthropic support caused the program closure, other violence and injury prevention projects by the EDC are still operational. Information on these projects is available on EDC's Web site.
Neighbors Who Care, a ministry-based fellowship program assisting victims of crime, was experiencing technical difficulties with its Web site as of May 30, 2002. For alternative resources, you may want to search the Religious Resources Directory.
